This line seeks to capture and distill moments of transcendent natural beauty in the urban landscape.
Experimenting with images, metal forms, and composition, these hand made pieces are created using techniques that include: etching, enameling, and embossing. Materials can include: silver, copper, and enamel.
*Enamel Pieces:
Enamel is essentially a thin layer of glass that is applied over metal. This line of jewelry is mainly on copper. The enamel is in a powdered form that is sifted onto the metal and fused in a kiln at about 1500ยบ Fahrenheit. The images on most of this jewelry are from an etching process, which results in an image on the metal that can be viewed through a transparent enamel, which is fused to the surface.
*Black Chains and Ear Wires:
All of the black chains and ear wires on this line of jewelry are sterling silver that have been oxidized with a silver patina. This just advances the natural tarnishing process. They should not treat your skin any differently than other sterling silver jewelry.
*Wire necklaces:
The wire is coated steel, with a plated metal magnetic clasp.
All of our jewelry is lead free.
